SAPA and PIP
Student Assessment of Professional Attributes (SAPA)
- All EDU majors in their FIRST REQUIRED EDU class will get access to a Google Doc for their SAPA.
- Go to one of the following Google Links depending on your majors
- COPY this link into your Google Drive (do NOT write directly on the link)
- All EDU Majors will keep this SAPA with them through their whole program.
- At midpoint each semester the student will rate themselves for each class they are in and write a reflection.
- At midpoint each semester the student will share this document with their EDU professor for the professor to also rate and give feedback.
- The SAPA will be shared with Advanced Standing.
EDU Professional Improvement Plan (PIP)
At any point in ANY EDU class a professor may ask you to complete a Professional Improvement Plan (PIP) if you need support with one of the professional attributes. The goal is to support your development and also track your progress.
- First PIP: A conversation regarding specific concerns between the Instructor and the Student. This will be filed with the Department Chair.
- Second PIP A conversation regarding specific and ongoing concerns with the Department Chair, the Instructor, and the Student
- Third PIP: You may be asked to switch your major out of a certification track major.
